Four Days To Glory By Mark Kreidler
I'm about a 1/4 through the book and been talking about Jay(Linn-Mar Wrestler) and how he has won 3 state championships in his weight class and is going for a 4th his senior year. It's also talked about former wrestlers in Iowa like Dan Gable and others and how wrestling is a big part of Iowa. I think Kreidler wrote this book because he wanted to tell people how big wrestling is in Iowa and how it's a big part of some schools, including Linn-Mar. This book tells the truth about Iowa wrestling including having cutting weight and the harsh practices. Jay Borschel is the main character and he is a former Linn-Mar wrestler. I think a good quote from this is "It's all part of the game" because no matter how good Jay is, other teams still forfeit against him so they don't get hurt, and when it comes to forfeits,"It's all part of the game."
