I am reading the book Unwind. This book was written by Neal Shusterman. I am currently on page 409. So far in this book there are 3 kids, who are unwinds and they are on the run. These kids (Lev, Connor, and Risa) are trying to make it on the run until they are 18 so they dont have to be unwound. Some of the trouble that they have had:1- They picked up a storked baby and the 3 of them now have to care for it when they can hardly take care of themsleves. 2-Lev, the youngest, escaped from them and then told the prinicple of the school that they were hiding in, that they were hiding in the bathroom. They had to escape pure chaos. 3- The 2 of them have to stay in the basement of an old antique store, to escape all of the drama. I think that this is a very good book, because it really makes you think about what you would be doing if it were you in this position. I think that the author wrote this to show what some of the things are going to be like in the near future, and what our techonology will be able to do. I think that the author is trying to get us to understand the difficulty of some peoples lives, and how lucky you truley are just to be alive. The best character, in my opinion, is Risa. She is my favorite character because on top of taking care of herself, she now is taking care of the baby. And she has street intelligence, so she has gotten them out of some very close outcomes. Risa has changed becuase she learned that she needs to trust people, even if its not what her heart tells her to do. Connor once said, "If we dont all have our hearts in this, than we arent going to succeed. I think that this is important, becuase it shows the importance of a team. If your whole team isnt involved, than it is going to be very difficult to be able to do what you are trying to do. The biggest question that I have is, Are they going to make it until they are 18? Who is going to come in their way? What really happens in an unwinding studio?
